Public Scoping Period
The public scoping period for the RMP began with the publication of the Notice of Intent in the Federal Register on December 13, 2010 and will continue for 60 days ending on February 11, 2011. Public comments must be provided to the BLM by February 11, 2011 in order to be formally analyzed and included in the Scoping Report.

How Can You Participate in the Process?
♦ Attend one or more of the open house meetings to learn more about the project and planning process and to meet BLM representatives;
♦ Review the progress of the RMP on-line on this webiste;
♦ Complete an online comment form found on this site;
♦ Email a comment to the RMP address at BattleMountainRMP@blm.gov;
♦ Mail a comment to the Battle Mountain District Office, Attn: Christopher Worthington, RMP Team Lead, Bureau of Land Management, 50 Bastian Road, Battle Mountain, NV 89820; and
♦ Join the Battle Mountain RMP Mailing list in order to receive future mailings and information by either emailing the RMP address or contacting Christopher Worthington at (775) 635-4000.
The Scoping Report will be prepared once the formal public scoping process concludes (February 11, 2011). It is planned to be completed in early Summer 2011.
Draft RMP and Draft EIS
Development of the Draft RMP and Draft EIS will begin in winter 2011/spring 2012.
