The BLM and Forest Service will hold meetings for the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Wyoming Sage-Grouse Land Use Plan Amendments in February.

Meetings will be held at the following locations:

  • Tuesday, February 4, 2014: USFS Douglas Ranger District, 2250 East Richards Street, Douglas, WY
  • Wednesday, February 5, 2014: BLM Casper Field Office, 2987 Prospector Drive, Casper, WY
  • Thursday, February 6, 2014: Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest Supervisor's Office, 2468 Jackson Street, Laramie, WY
  • Tuesday, February 11, 2014: BLM Pinedale Field Office, 1625 West Pine Street, Pinedale, WY
  • Wednesday, February 12, 2014: BLM Rock Springs Field Office, 280 Highway 191 North, Rock Springs, WY
  • Thursday, February 13, 2014: BLM Rawlins Field Office, 1300 North Third Street, Rawlins, WY

The meetings will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Several information stations will be located within the meeting venue that will present information on key issues, the planning process, and the public commenting process. Staff will give a presentation at 5 p.m. Attendees can learn about the LUP Amendment comment process, ask questions, and provide comments in electronic and written formats.


Scoping meetings were held at the following locations:

  • August 3, 2010: Sublette County Weed and Pest, 12 South Bench Road, Pinedale, WY
  • August 4, 2010: Best Western Fossil Country Inn and Suites, 760 U.S. Highway 189, Kemmerer, WY
  • August 5, 2010: White Mountain Library, 2935 Sweetwater Drive, Rock Springs, WY
  • August 11, 2010: Weston County Senior Citizens Center, 627 Pine Street, Newcastle, WY
  • August 12, 2010: Best Western Ramkota Hotel, 800 North Poplar Street, Casper, WY
  • August 13, 2010: Best Western Cotton Tree Inn, 2221 West Spruce Street, Rawlins, WY

The scoping meetings were held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Several information stations were located within the meeting venue that presented information on key issues and the planning process. Attendees learned about the RMP amendment process, asked questions, and provided written comments. A court reporter was available to document oral comments, if individuals wanted to comment in that manner.

  • July 20, 2010: Parkway Plaza Hotel, 123 West E Street, Casper, WY

  • January 30, 2012: BLM Casper Field Office
  • January 31, 2012: BLM Buffalo Field Office
  • February 1, 2012: BLM Worland Field Office
  • February 2, 2012: BLM Rock Springs Field Office
  • February 7, 2012: Douglas National Guard Armory
  • February 9, 2012: Newcastle USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service
  • February 15, 2012: Gillette Campbell County Public Library

The scoping meetings were held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
