The BLM maintains a website of Best Management Practices: http://www.blm.gov/nhp/300/wo310/O&G/Ops/operations.html
The BLM collaborated with the Western Governor’s Association; industry; environmental groups; conservation groups; Federal, State and local agencies; and landowners, to develop the April 2004 “Coal Bed Methane Best Management Practices Handbook.” http://www.westgov.org/wga/initiatives/coalbed/index.htm On April 29, 2004, BLM presented the satellite broadcast, “Visual Resource Management BMP’s for Fluid Minerals,” to hundreds of viewers. A course notebook was distributed for the self-study course.
