  • an OHV training area for all ages;
  • six technical vehicle sites for challenging vehicle skills driving;
  • hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking on the meandering non-motorized Black Canyon National Recreation Trail;
  • access to Lake Pleasant from the northeast;
  • target shooting opportunities in areas with a safe backstop (an earthen mound a minimum of 25 feet wide and 15 feet high); and
  • dispersed camping and picnicking.
Special Features: Trailhead to the Black Canyon National Recreation Trail (80+ mile trail) and an OHV training site.
Permits, Fees and Limitations: No fees are required for casual use.  Special uses including commercial operations, fundraising or organized group events, will require a Special Recreation Permit. Contact the Hassayampa Field Office to determine if a permit is needed for your proposed activity.
