The Bureau of Land Management's Wyoming State Office today posted its proposed list of parcels for the bimonthly competitive oil and gas lease sale scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, at the Holiday Inn in Cheyenne, Wyo. Doors open at 7 a.m. with the auction beginning at 8 a.m.

BLM Announces Oregon Basin Geophysical Project

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Cody Field Office announced today that Marathon Oil Company will conduct geophysical exploration operations in the North Oregon Basin located in Park County, Wyo. The project, including cleanup and demobilization, is expected to be completed by the end of November.

BLM Secures Hunting Access to Middle Fork Powder River Area

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Buffalo Field Office (BFO) in coordination with Wyoming Game and Fish Department has been working with local landowners to address hunting access issues in the Middle Fork of the Powder River Area west of Kaycee, Wyo. There is restricted access to large areas of public land due to limited access across private lands. Historically, some land owners have allowed for limited hunter access.
