- This data depicts 100-year (Zone A) flood prone areas - within the Pinedale BLM Field Office. These areas were drawn from HUD maps.
- Purpose:
- Location of potential flooding areas could be important for oil and gas development as well as overall planning efforts within the Pinedale BLM Field Office. Flood prone areas are stipulated No Surface Occupancy (NSO) within perennial waters. Controlled Surface Use is also a stipulation attached to these areas. p. 21 of the Pinedale Resource Managment Plan (1988), Record of Decision states that all actions will comply with Executive Orders, 1988, Floodplain Management.

There is a gap in data information in Fontenelle Creek, located in the southern portion of the field office. The gap existed in the original data as well.
