- Process_Description: The allotment polygons were derived by
- using a copy of the Wyoming 2005 surface ownership coverage. (Ownership layer was built using GCDB 1/4 1/4 points as a base for snapping and MTPS as an information reference.)
- New fields were added to the coverage; allotment(Allot_Name), authorization number(Auth_N0), Operator(Operator), ownership (Owner), AUMS(AUMS, and remarks(Remarks)
- Allotment polygons were then created by using the "Cut Polygon" tool to edit the "former" surface ownership polygons.
- Grazing allotment polygons were cut/created according to the maps and legal descriptions within the field files.
- Attributes were updated using XTools. XTools created and populated the following new field; Perimeter Area, Acres and Hectares.
