On December 18, 2009, the Bureau of Land Management Wyoming State Office posted a Notice of Competitive Oil and Gas Lease Sale for 51 parcels of land located in the State of Wyoming to be offered for lease by oral auction on February 2, 2010.

The State Director has decided to defer the following land in parcel WY-1002-030:

T. 38 N., R. 91 W., 6th P.M., Wyoming
   Sec. 29: NWNW.
Containing 40.00 acres more or less.

This land will be deferred pending the release of the draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Lander Resource Management Plan (RMP) revision. This will allow the Lander Field Office to ensure their decision making window for the land included in the Lysite Badlands Citizen’s Proposed Wilderness Area.

The State Director has also decided to defer offering parcel WY-1002-051 pending sage grouse mapping and monitoring.
