On December 18, 2009, the Bureau of Land Management Wyoming State Office posted a Notice of Competitive Oil and Gas Lease Sale for 51 parcels of land located in the State of Wyoming to be offered for lease by oral auction on February 2, 2010.
Between December 29, 2009, and January 19, 2010, we received five (5) timely filed protests from various organizations to our office offering certain parcels for lease at the sale.

The protested parcels will be offered for lease at the subject sale. If, after evaluating the concerns raised in the protests this office determines they have merit, we may reject a lease offer made at the sale and may refund all monies paid. Alternatively, if our evaluation finds the concerns raised in the protests are without merit, this office will dismiss the protests and issue leases for any of these parcels sold either competitively or noncompetitively.
