The final rule amending our mineral resource regulations to increase certain fees to cover the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) costs of processing documents related to the oil and gas program was published in the Federal Register on September 28, 2009. In accordance with the final rule, the nonrefundable administrative fee due on the day of the sale for each parcel you are the successful high bidder on is now $145 and the nonrefundable filing fee for noncompetitive offers to lease is $375. This rule is effective October 1, 2009. Therefore, the fees stated in the attached Notice of Competitive Oil and Gas Lease Sale on pages iv and vii are now $145 and $375 respectively.

The following table is a complete list of the fixed fees that you must pay to BLM for oil and gas services for Fiscal Year 2009. These fees are nonrefundable and must be included with documents you file:
