On April 17, 2009, the Bureau of Land Management Wyoming State Office posted a Notice of Competitive Oil and Gas Lease Sale for 84 parcels of land located in the State of Wyoming to be offered for lease by oral auction on June 2, 2009. On May 18, 2009, we received a timely filed protest from Wyoming Wildlife Federation and the National Wildlife Federation to our office offering certain parcels for lease at the June 2, 2009, competitive oil and gas lease sale. 1) WY-0906-011; 2) WY-0906-026; 3) WY-0906-032; 4) WY-0906-039; 5) WY-0906-046; 6) WY-0906-052; 7) WY-0906-054; | 8) WY-0906-058; 9) WY-0906-062; 10) WY-0906-063; 11) WY-0906-064; 12) WY-0906-065; 13) WY-0906-069; 14) WY-0906-070; | 15) WY-0906-075; 16) WY-0906-076; 17) WY-0906-082; 18) WY-0906-083; and 19) WY0906-084. |
The protested parcels will be offered for lease at the subject sale. If, after evaluating the concerns raised in the protests this office determines they have merit, we may reject a lease offer made at the sale and may refund all monies paid. Alternatively, if our evaluation finds the concerns raised in the protests are without merit, this office will dismiss the protests and issue leases for any of these parcels sold either competitively or noncompetitively. Please direct any questions you may have about the protests to Vickie Mistarka at (307) 775-6199. |
