The Greater Little Mountain Coalition and 18 individuals filed protests to our offering the following parcel for lease: On May 18, 2008, we received a protest of the entire sale. However, this protest was dismissed because it was not properly filed within the timeframe stated in the Notice of Competitive Oil and Gas Lease Sale. The protested parcels will be offered for lease at the subject sale. If, after evaluating the concerns raised in the protests this office determines they have merit, we may reject a lease offer made at the sale and may refund all monies paid. Alternatively, if our evaluation finds the concerns raised in the protests are without merit, this office will dismiss the protests and issue leases for any of these parcels sold either competitively or noncompetitively.
