I N F O R M A T I O N   N O T I C E PROTEST FILED

On January 21, 2008, our office received a protest from Biodiversity Conservation Alliance, Center for Native Ecosystems, Wyoming Outdoor Council, Clark Resource Council and the Wyoming Wilderness Association to our offering the following parcels for lease at the February 5, 2008, competitive oil and gas lease sale:

After taking into consideration the concerns stated in the protest the Wyoming State Director has elected to offer the protested parcels for lease pending our review of the merits of the protest. If, after evaluating the concerns raised in the protest this office determines they have merit, we may reject a lease offer made at the sale and may refund all monies paid. Alternatively, if our evaluation finds the concerns raised in the protest are without merit, this office will dismiss the protest and issue leases for these parcels.
