Location: Fremont County Site Features: 2 highwalls, 2 portals, 2 open adits, >5 spoil piles, historical debris/structures Safety Hazards: portal 2 has some fracturing of the bedrock; potential for injury due to falling and entrapment hazards Environmental Hazards: sediment from mine area has blocked the stream channel; rill erosion observed along all spoil piles; gully erosion along existing drainage; compromised stream channel Proposed Reclamation: PUF adit closure, pit closure and portal backfill closure, stabilize spoil piles Estimated Costs: over $10,000 for construction alone; additional cost will include cultural/historic, bat survey, etc, reports and environmental analysis
