Olive No. 5 Claim AML Project
Location: Fremont County Site Features: 1 vertical opening, 1 portal, adit, 3 spoil piles, 1 trench, historical debris/structures Safety Hazards: unstable rock in the portal overhang with likelihood of roof collapse and entrapment Environmental Hazards: rill erosion observed along the spoils associated with portal no. 1 with sediment movement to the adjacent channel. Proposed Reclamation: PUF and stone bulkhead closure; PUF shaft closure; bat access grate (portal no. 1); stabilize spoils against erosion. Estimated Costs: over $9000 for construction alone. Additional cost will include cultural/historic, bat survey, etc, reports and environmental analysis.
