On Oct. 16, the first group of horses arrived from the Rock Springs Corrals and the Canon City Training Facility. These horses had all been gathered from Wyoming herd management areas. For a variety of reasons, these horses were considered unadoptable and ended up at Deerwood Ranch.

The horses were unloaded into a small pen to acclimate them to the facility.

After a couple days getting used to their new surroundings, the horses are released into the larger pastures.
