  • Over 214,000 acres surveyed at the Class III level (intensive inventory) – 140,049 acres on BLM administered lands and 74,110 acres on non-BLM surface.
  • Over 4,400 actions occurred.
  • 2,327 sites recorded - 1,702 on BLM administered lands and 625 on non-BLM surface.
  • 520 properties determined eligible for the National Register of Historic Places.
  • 1,857 properties avoided destruction.
  • 269 monitored cultural properties in stable condition.
  • 26 anti-looting/anti-vandalism signs installed to protect cultural resources.
  • 89 cultural resource use permits in effect.
  • 75 public presentations on archaeology and historic preservation presented to over 4,500 people.
  • 25 professional conference presentations or articles published in professional journals on archaeology and historic preservation.
  • 57 consultation meetings with representatives and governments of federally-recognized Indian tribes.
