Family Fishing Day - Saturday, June 5
By Corey Murzyn, Recreation Technician (STEP), Wyoming State Office
After a long absence, summertime is finally making its way back to Wyoming. In celebration, the 21st Annual Family Fishing Day will take place from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Old Lion’s Park Community House in Cheyenne, sponsored by the Bureau of Land Management. This event boasts free admission and is open to the public.
Children of all ages will learn the basics of fishing and knot-tying and even get the chance to take home prizes. In addition to BLM, other partners include Wyoming Game and Fish Dept, U.S. Forest Service, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. No need to check the forecast - the Family Fishing Day will take place rain or shine!
