Wyoming Department of Agriculture Recognizes BLM Worland Assistant Field Manager
The Wyoming Department of Agriculture (WDA) has awarded Mike Phillips, BLM Worland Field Office Assistant Field Manager for Resources, the Friend of Agriculture Award.
According to Jason Fearneyhough, Director of WDA, the prestigious Friend of Agriculture Award is given to an individual who performs his duties to an effective and admirable level of scientific expertise and passion for agricultural values, particularly in the area of natural resources and policy. Phillips is being recognized for his work on several WDA programs including the coordinated resource management process, mediation, technical review teams and proactive grazing permit renewal reviews.
"I am honored to receive this award," said Phillips. "I look forward to partnering with the agriculture community in the future for the continued promotion of healthy rangelands."
Phillips will receive his award at the Wyoming State Fair and Rodeo on August 20.
