BLM Seeks Public Input on Proposed Direct Sale of Land in Teton County

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Pinedale Field Office is seeking public comment on the proposed direct sale of 1.06 acres of public land in Teton County, Wyo. to TSR Limited for the appraised fair market value of $75,000.

The subject land is a narrow, isolated strip surrounded on three sides by private lands owned by TSR Limited and bordered on the fourth side by the Snake River. This parcel has extremely limited public access and its location makes it difficult and uneconomical for the BLM or any other agency to manage.

Regulations under Section 203 of the Federal Land Policy and Management Act of 1976, as amended, require parcels proposed for disposal to be identified in the associated resource management plan (RMP). The Snake River RMP allows for the disposal of lands difficult and uneconomical to manage but did not identify this parcel by legal description. Consequently, the RMP was amended on October 23, 2013 to include this 1.06-acre parcel.

Written, substantive comments should be mailed or delivered by Oct. 6 to Field Manager, Pinedale Field Office, PO Box 768, 1625 W. Pine St., Pinedale WY 82941 or emailed to Pinedale_WYMail@blm.gov with “TSR Limited” in the subject line.

Before including your address, phone number, email address, or other personal identifying information in your comment, be advised that your entire comment - including your personal identifying information - may be publicly available at any time. While you may ask us in your comment to withhold from public review your personal identifying information, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so.

More information is available at the Pinedale Field Office, www.blm.gov/wy/st/en/programs/Planning/rmps/SnakeRiver/parcels.html or by contacting Tracy Hoover at 307-367-5342.
