Save the Date for the 2013 Saratoga Mustang Versatility


The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) High Desert District (HDD) in cooperation with the Platte Valley Ranch Supply and 5N Ranch invite horse enthusiasts to the 2013 Saratoga Mustang Versatility on Sept. 7 beginning at 9 a.m. at the 5N Ranch Arena in Saratoga, Wyo.  

The second annual event showcases Mustangs, but all breeds of horses are welcome. The competition will feature an obstacle course, games and ranch sort for all ages of horse and riders. The entry fee for an individual is $10 or $20 for a family. All participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  

Along with the competition, Trainer Steve Mantle with the Mantle Adoption and Training Facility in Wheatland, Wyo. will offer a free training clinic. “Started” wild horses will also be available for adoption. The BLM's mission is to manage and conserve the public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations under our mandate of multiple-use and sustained yield. In Fiscal Year 2013, the BLM generated $4.7 billion in receipts from public lands.
