BLM Reopens Dugway Campground

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Rawlins Field Office has reopened the Dugway Campground located eight miles east of Sinclair, Wyo. The BLM closed the campground in May due to flooding from the North Platte River.

Four or five camp spots, which can accommodate tents or a Class C motorhome, are open. Recreational vehicles exceeding 22 feet are not advised. A restroom and a small boat ramp are also usable.

The BLM would also like to remind the public that the water is not safe for human consumption due to the flooding.

For more information, please contact the Rawlins Field Office at 307-328-4200.

The BLM manages more than 245 million acres of public land, the most of any Federal agency. This land, known as the National System of Public Lands, is primarily located in 12 Western states, including Alaska. The BLM also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the nation. The BLM's mission is to manage and conserve the public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations under our mandate of multiple-use and sustained yield. In Fiscal Year 2013, the BLM generated $4.7 billion in receipts from public lands.
