Workshop on Using Snow Fences for Reclamation
The Jonah Interagency Office and the Pinedale Anticline Project Office (JIO/ PAPO) in coordination with Davis Scientific LLC will host a workshop on the use of snow fences to increase precipitation retention on reclamation sites. The workshop will be held on June 18, from 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and a field tour in the Jonah Field from 12 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
The workshop will be held at the Sublette County Weed and Pest Office, 12 South Bench Road, Pinedale, Wyo. (307-367-4728). Lunch will be provided by Davis Scientific LLC prior to leaving for the Jonah field.
Please bring a hard hat and good walking shoes. If you do not have a hard hat and would like to participate in the field tour please let us know, and arrangements can be made to get you one. Please contact Deej Brown, JIO/PAPO Office at deej_brown@blm.gov or 307-367-5391 by June 11, to sign up.

The BLM manages more than 245 million acres of public land, the most of any Federal agency. This land, known as the National System of Public Lands, is primarily located in 12 Western states, including Alaska. The BLM also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the nation. The BLM's multiple-use mission is to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of the public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations. In Fiscal Year 2012, activities on public lands generated $4.6 billion in revenue, much of which was shared with the States where the activities occurred.
