JIO/PAPO Funding Applications Available Online

The Jonah Interagency Office (JIO) and Pinedale Anticline Project Office (PAPO) have posted applications received for 2011 project funding consideration online at www.blm.gov/wy/st/en/field_offices/Pinedale/2011apps.html.

Applications received in response to the mule deer funding application deadline extension of Dec. 20 have not yet been posted.

All applications will be evaluated by the JIO/PAPO based on the likelihood of producing positive results. Recommendations will be forwarded to the governing Board of Directors and a final decision made in March. There is no guarantee that an application will be funded.

Contact John MacDonald, Acting JIO/PAPO Project Coordinator, at 307-367-5386, or Shane DeForest, Pinedale Field Manager, at 307-367-5302, for more information.

The BLM manages more than 245 million acres of public land, the most of any Federal agency. This land, known as the National System of Public Lands, is primarily located in 12 Western states, including Alaska. The BLM also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the nation. The BLM's mission is to manage and conserve the public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations under our mandate of multiple-use and sustained yield. In Fiscal Year 2013, the BLM generated $4.7 billion in receipts from public lands.
