Trail Center Hosts
Riders in the Sky Western Music Group

Admission free for the day

The National Historic Trails Interpretive Center (NHTIC) will host two-time Grammy-winning western music group Riders in the Sky for a free event at the center on Wednesday November 19, 2008 at 10:00 a.m.

The group's career has spanned over 30 years. They will perform a concert, sponsored by Artcore, at Natrona County High School later in the day. At the Trails Center, the group will give a short talk about the history of the music they perform, answer questions from the public, and be available for photos. The center will waive its admission fees on November 19, 2008 in honor of the special guests.

"I encourage everyone who has a passion for history and its music to come to the center and meet with Ranger Doug and his band mates Riders in the Sky. It’s certainly an honor to host these amazing musicians," said NHTIC Manager, Jude Carino. "This would not have been possible without the wonderful efforts of Artcore who have brought them to our community. Artcore is an organization which enriches the culture of our community through events such as these," added Carino.

For more information on the NHTIC, please call 307-261-7700 or go to www.blm.gov/wy/st/en/NHTIC.html. The NHTIC is a public-private partnership between the Bureau of Land Management and the National Historic Trails Center Foundation.
