November 6, 2008 Contact:     Lorraine Keith    307-352-0399  BLM approves Marianne 3-D Geophysical Exploration The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Rock Springs Field Office has approved the Marianne 3-D geophysical exploration project in the Horsethief Canyon and Bitter Creek area northeast of the Rock Springs airport. Petroleum Geo-Services Onshore, Inc. is performing the 59 square mile geophysical for Samson Resources. The project is divided by Interstate 80. Plans are to complete the northern portion of the project by Nov. 15, 2008, before big game crucial winter range stipulations go into effect. The southern portion of the project is scheduled to be completed in Dec. 2008. Applicant committed measures and conditions of approval should insure that no significant adverse impacts occur to sensitive resources.
