BLM Rock Springs Asks Hunters
to Stay on Existing Roads and Trails
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in Rock Springs reminds hunters to limit OHV and truck use to existing roads and trails. This will help protect important wildlife habitat and provide a better hunting experience for everyone.
The BLM Green River Resource Management Plan limits all motorized vehicle traffic to existing roads and trails, and Wilderness Study Areas (WSA), are closed to all motorized vehicles.
All newer BLM Land Status maps show WSA boundaries, and are available at the BLM Rock Springs Field Office located at 280 Highway 191 North in Rock Springs, or by calling (307)352-0256. Every attempt is made to keep signs posted along WSA boundaries.
“We appreciate the public’s awareness and continued support of these restrictions,” said Foster. For more information, contact the BLM at (307) 352-0256.
