Installation ceremony held for BLM Casper Field Manager Joe Meyer
An installation ceremony for the new field manager of the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) Casper Field Office was held Oct. 23, 2008.

BLM Wyoming Acting State Director Don Simpson officially inducted Joe Meyer, as the head of the Casper Field Office. Meyer was formerly the assistant field manager for resources at the Casper Field Office.
eyer received a bachelor’s degree in Watershed Management/Resource Management with emphasis in Soil Science from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point in 1982. Joe has 25 years of government service including several years as a Hydrologic Technician for the United States Geological Survey. He joined the BLM in 1989.
Meyer has received recognition for his efforts in completing several watershed based rangeland health evaluations, developing and implementing monitoring and mitigation on Coal Bed Natural Gas projects in the Powder River Basin, including the Powder River Basin Oil and Gas EIS, and completing the Casper Field Office Resource Management Plan Revision.
"Wyoming is a special place, and BLM is a good organization. I am honored to be the Field Manager for Casper," noted Meyer.
