September 12, 2008 Contact: Martin Hudson 307-367-5315 Lorraine Keith 307-352-0399 Firewood Available at Scab Creek CampgroundThe Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Pinedale Field Office is offering firewood to the public at the Scab Creek Campground east of Boulder, Wyo. Wood remaining from last year’s timber harvest has been bucked and stacked and is ready for sale. BLM non-commercial firewood permits are required to collect the firewood. To get to the to the Scab Creek Campground from Boulder, travel east six miles on Wyoming Highway 353, then turn left on BLM Road 5423. BLM Road 5423 ends at the Scab Creek Campground. The graveled BLM road has short segments of very steep road grade (8%). The firewood is stacked within and adjacent to the buck and rail fence. You may enter the fenced area to load your vehicle or trailer. Cut or downed wood inside the campground is not available for this sale. BLM firewood permits may be purchased at the Pinedale Field Office located on 1624 West Pine Street, or at the U.S. Forest Service, Pinedale Ranger District office located at 29th East Fremont Lake Road.
