Kemmerer BLM Seeks Comments on Exploratory Well

The Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) Kemmerer Field Office is seeking comments on the Bear Canyon Number 2 Exploratory Well.

Fortuna U.S. L.P. has filed an Application for Permit to Drill (APD), for a second wildcat (exploratory) well located on public lands within Lincoln County, Wyo. The well and associated roads are located in Sections 13, 23, and 24, in Township 23 North, Range 117 West. This Scoping Notice is the beginning of the environmental analysis process to fulfill requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act.

If you are interested in participating in the process and have concerns, issues, or alternatives you would like addressed, please send written comments by Sept. 18, 2008, to James Roberts, Kemmerer Field Office, 312 HWY 189 N.
