Road and Trail Closures Due to Gunbarrel Fire
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) announced today that the Rattlesnake Mountain Road, Rattlesnake Mountain Trail and Four Bear Trail are closed until further notice due to fire activity in the area.
These precautionary closures are to ensure public safety and to facilitate suppression efforts of the Gunbarrel Fire. The BLM asks the public to exercise caution because of the potential for extreme fire activity.
Rattlesnake Mountain Road (BLM 1207) is located south of the cattleguard at the end of Monument Hill Road (also known as County Road 7UH). Four Bear Trail is 17 miles west of Cody and north of Hwy. 14/16/20.
These closures are in effect from today until rescinded.
