BLM Issues Firewood Permits
Firewood permits will be available on May 19, 2008 from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Kemmerer Field Office.
Permits are limited and will be issued on a first come first serve basis starting May 19 and expire on November 17, 2008. Permits can be obtained at the Kemmerer Field Office located at 312 Hwy 189 N. between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The cost is $5.00 per cord. There is a three cord minimum and an eight cord maximum of firewood per household. Tickets are to be filled out and attached to the load of wood before it is removed from the cutting area. There will be no firewood gathering permitted after November 17, 2008.
