Nowater Creek Crossing Closed for Repairs

The Nowater Creek Crossing on Nowater Road (BLM 1404) will be closed for repairs from March 4 through mid April. The crossing is located approximately 8 miles south of Worland, Wyoming (T46N R 92W, Section 13). Repairs will consist of extending the upstream and downstream aprons, adding riprap to prevent erosion, and overlaying the crossing with new concrete.

The road is heavily traveled by residents, recreators, and oil field vehicles. A restricted detour around the crossing is limited to vehicles weighing less than 20,000 lbs GVW, and speeds under 20 mph. Barricades and warning signs have been placed at the crossing and at a turnaround approximately 1.5 miles north of the crossing.

For additional information, please contact Monica Goepferd at the BLM Worland Field Office 307-347-5100.
