Trail Center Returns to Winter Hours
With fall and winter fast approaching, the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center (NHTIC) will return to winter hours of operation beginning Sunday, October 14th.
The facility will be closed on Sunday, October 14, 2007 and Monday, October 15, 2007, and will re-open for winter hours on Tuesday, October 16th.
NHTIC s winter hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday – Saturday. These hours will be effective until mid-April, 2008. The NHTIC will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22nd; Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25th; and New Year’s Day, Tuesday, January 1st.
Planning for the Trails Center’s annual Holiday on the Homestead is underway. The event will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2007. This year’s theme is Celebrate with Music! A variety of special music is planned for the event, including children’s orchestras and holiday fiddle, banjo and guitar tunes. This annual event is free to the public. More information on this year’s festivities will be available in November.
