BLM Kemmerer Now Selling Firewood Permits
The BLM Kemmerer Field Office is currently selling firewood. Firewood permits will be sold for designated areas including Bartlett Creek. A timber sale recently ended in this area and remaining wood is available for firewood. The Kemmerer BLM asks that slash piles remain intact.
Maps are available and may be picked up with permits at the Kemmerer BLM office. Permits are $5 per cord with a minimum of three cords ($15) per permit and a maximum of eight cords. Tickets are to be filled out and attached to the load of wood before it is removed from the cutting area.
BLM has issued a timber sale contract in the Meeks Cabin area in Uinta County. Firewood permits will not be available for this area until further notice.
For more information contact the Kemmerer BLM Office at (307) 828-4500.
