BLM Seeks Input on Motorized Travel Plan
The Bureau of Land Management Worland Field Office is seeking public comment on a completed Environmental Assessment (EA) of the Hyattville travel management plan which affects motorized travel between Alkali Rd. and Hyattville Logging Rd. in Bighorn County.
The plan recommends allowing motorized travel on mapped roads that provide access to public lands. However, trailblazing and travel on cattle and wildlife trails will be prohibited to avoid erosion, the destruction of archaeological resources and interference with aspects of lawful hunting.
The BLM encourages public input to help ensure the completeness of the analysis and provide additional information for the implementation of the project.
Comment forms and the EA are available at the Worland Field Office, 101 S. 23rd St.; Worland, WY 82401, or electronically at: http://www.blm.gov/wy/st/en/info/NEPA/wfodocs/HyattvilleTravel.html
Comments will be accepted through Sept. 14, 2007 and can be mailed to Aaron Kania at the Worland Field Office or e-mailed to: Worland_ firstname.lastname@example.org. For further information, contact Aaron Kania at (307) 347-5100.
