Pinedale BLM Invites Public to On-site Visit June 22
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) invites the public to participate on Friday, June 22, in a public on-site visit to three proposed gas well sites in the Stewart Point area.
The proposed wells would be located in the MA-4 Sensitive Viewshed area as defined by the Pinedale Anticline Project Area (PAPA) Record of Decision. “The proposal from Shell Rocky Mountain Production LLC involves three well pads in Sections 6 and 8, Township 33N, Range 109 W. ," said Tim Zebulske, BLM Pinedale natural resource specialist. "These well pads could potentially occupy some of the same area previously designated for the expansion of the Rendezvous Meadows Golf Course.”
Participants will meet at 10 a.m. at the new BLM office in Pinedale, located at 1625 West Pine. Two hours have been allotted for the public to review the proposal in the field, beginning at 10:30 a.m. It is recommended that people joining the caravan to the on-site should drive or ride in high clearance vehicles, but four-wheel drive vehicles are not required. Sturdy footwear is recommended.
Along with public input at the on-site visit, comments may be submitted electronically to Pinedale_WYMail@blm.gov. E-mailed comments should include "North Pinedale Shell well pads" in the subject line. Comments may also be submitted through regular mail to:
BLM Pinedale Field Office
P.O. Box 768
1625 West Pine Street
Pinedale, WY 82941
Written comments on these proposed wells will be accepted through July 13, 2007. When providing comments on the BLM’s proposal, the writer's name and address may become part of the public record.
