BLM Hosts Scoping meeting on Sand Hills Comprehensive Travel & Transportation Management Plan
On March 29, 2007, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Casper Field Office is hosting a public scoping meeting on the Sand Hills Comprehensive Travel and Transportation Plan. The meeting will be between 5 to 7 p.m. at the Casper Field Office, 2987 Prospector Drive.
The plan will address Off-Highway Vehicle use and the designation of Roads and Trails within the Sand Hills Transportation Area located 10 miles northeast of Casper.
The scoping meeting is a starting point in which the public can identify issues to be addressed. Issues already identified include damage to vegetation and wildlife habitat, geophysical exploration, rights-of ways, additional transportation needs, non-motorized recreational use, and land tenure adjustments.
