BLM Rock Springs Now Selling Firewood Permits

The BLM’s Rock Springs Field Office is currently selling firewood permits. Cutting started on Monday, June 26th. Firewood permits will be sold for designated areas on Pine Mountain and the Prospect Mountains. Maps are available and may be picked up with permits.

Permits run $7.50 per cord with a minimum of two cords ($15.00) per permit and a maximum of eight cords at Pine Mountain and ten cords at the Prospect Mountains.

Tickets are to be filled out and attached to the load of wood before it is removed from the cutting area. For more information contact Jim Glennon at 307-352-0336.
