Muddy Mountain Road Opens For Memorial Day Weekend

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) announced today that Muddy Mountain Road will be open on Friday, May 26, 2006.

Muddy Mountain road is closed on an annual basis for public safety and resource protection. The closure normally runs from the end of November through the beginning of June.

Muddy Mountain Road is the primary access route to the Muddy Mountain Environmental Education Area (EEA), which includes two campgrounds and numerous recreation trails. The two campgrounds, Rim and Lodgepole, will also be available for occupancy on Friday, May 26, 2006.
