BLM Authorizes Pipeline Rights-of-Way
The Bureau of Land Management Cody Field Office authorized the Windsor Energy Group LLC rights-of-way proposal for an oil and gas pipelines and associated roads on public land between Clark and Elk Basin. In 2004, Windsor applied for authorization to construct, operate, and maintain a ten- inch natural gas pipeline, a four-inch liquid hydrocarbon line, a permanent access road, and access to temporary work areas, to transport natural gas from Windsor's Bennett Creek wells on state land to the Elk Basin Field. The pipeline project involves a total of 21 miles that cross state, private and public lands. After an Environmental Assessment process, which included a town meeting in Clark, and a public comment period, BLM reached a Finding Of No Significant Impact for the 4.5 miles that will cross BLM-administered public land. Construction across the public land in the Clark area is expected to begin in mid-late March. Construction involving County Road 1AB in the Line Creek subdivision area began this week. The decision documents can be found at www.wy.blm.gov/nepa/cyfodocs/bennettcreek, or at the Cody Field Office. Parties on the mailing list will receive a copy by mail.
