BLM Hosts Oil and Gas Open House and Wildlife Coordination Meeting:
Meetings set for February 9, 2006 in Gillette
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is hosting an open house and wildlife coordination meeting on February 9, 2006 at the Clarion Western Plaza in Gillette, Wyoming. The open house will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Capone and Bonnie & Clyde rooms, and the wildlife meeting is from 9 to 12 p.m. in the Capone room.
The open house gives oil and gas operators and interested parties the opportunity to discuss any concerns they may have with conventional oil and gas or coalbed natural gas (CBNG). Buffalo permitting, resources, and inspection staff will be present to respond to questions and comments from industry. BLM is interested in hearing concerns and suggestions on how to make permitting and inspection processes work to the benefit of all parties involved. Representatives from the U.S. Forest Service and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will also be available for questions.
The purpose of the wildlife coordination meeting is to prepare for the 2006 survey year by providing agency updates and sharing information. There will also be an opportunity to coordinate wildlife survey efforts.
