Rangeland Health
Standards and guidelines address the health, productivity and sustainability of public rangelands. The BLM Wyoming standards and guidelines assess the four fundamentals of rangeland health: properly functioning watersheds; naturally cycling water, nutrients and energy; acceptable air and water quality; and viable habitats for special status species. Standards and guidelines assessments are conducted during the field season, typically May through September. The reports are written and determinations are generally made within the next fiscal year.
