Four Bear Field 3-D (Vibroseis) Project

Project: Environmental Assessment: WY-020-E06-E068, the Four Bear Field 3-D (Vibroseis), is being made available for public comment until September 8, 2006. The document describes effects of a 3-D vibroseis project designed to more fully understand the geology in the vicinity of the Four Bear oil field so future drilling efforts can reach the most product with the least number of wells and associated surface disturbance. The project occupies about a two and one half by six mile area of mostly nonfederal surface about twenty miles west of Meeteetse, Wyoming. Geophysical actions were analyzed in the Cody Resource Management Plan.

Comment Period: The BLM Cody Field Office would appreciate your comments, concerns, and suggestions. Written comments should be submitted to the BLM by September 8, 2006. Comments will be accepted at the BLM Cody Field Office, P.O. Box 518, Cody, WY 82414-0518 or by e-mail to cody_wymail@blm.gov. If you have questions regarding the proposed project, please contact Vic Seefeldt at 307-578-5918.
