Cooperating Agencies - The BLM Wyoming State Director granted Cooperating Agency Status to the State of Wyoming, Fremont County and Sweetwater County. Sublette County and three conservation districts participate under the State of Wyoming Cooperating Agency umbrella. Cooperating Agencies assist in the preparation of the EIS by providing expertise, information, data. Cooperating Agency is an official status/designation provided for in the National Environmental Policy Act which states, in part, that a Cooperating Agency has special expertise, provides staff support, and has legal jurisdiction for resources or lands in the project area.
