Lander Field Office


The Lander Field Office encompasses 6.6 million acres in central Wyoming and includes most of Fremont County, the southwest corner of Natrona Country, and small portions of Carbon, Sweetwater and Hot Springs counties. Of the 6.6 million acres, 2.5 million acres are public lands managed by the BLM. The Lander Field Office also manages approximately 2.7 million acres of federal mineral estate.

The Lander Field Office manages a wide diversity of resources and uses including National Historic Trails, the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail, historic mining areas, rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, hang gliding livestock grazing and wild horses.
