Campgrounds

Note: There is a 14-day limit at all camp sites. Off-highway vehicles must stay on designated roads.

Slate Creek Campground

Slate Creek Campground near the Green River.
Activities:
Camping, fishing.

Facilities: Gravel access roads within campground, two ADA accessible vault toilets, eight campsites with picnic tables and fire rings.

Directions: Located on the west side of the Green River, approximately four miles south of Fontenelle Reservoir, off Highway 372.

Fontenelle Creek Campground

Activities:
Camping, boating, fishing.

Facilities: Potable water system, trailer dump station, chip sealed roads throughout, two major parking areas for vehicle and boat trailer parking near boat ramp, fully functional boat ramp, boat dock, handicap accessible rest room facilities.

Campground: Fee post, registration envelope box, campground host campsite, two handicap accessible campsites, two vault and three flush restrooms, several potable water faucets, total of 55 campsites with covered picnic tables and barbecue grills, gravel pathways to restroom facilities, cement road barriers along the road, trash facilities, fenced-in firewood area, paved route to access reservoir.

Directions: Located approximately 10 miles south of LaBarge, Wyo., and 30 miles north of Kemmerer, Wyo., on the west side of Fontenelle Reservoir, off Highway 189.

  • Open from approximately May 20 to October 15
  • Boat ramp open year-round
  • ADA accessible
  • $7 camping fee
  • $3 trailer dump station fee


Weeping Rock Campground

Weeping Rock Campground near the Green River.
Activities:
Camping, fishing.

Facilities: Interpretive sign on the river, 10 campsites with picnic tables and barbecue grills, one vault toilet.

Directions: Located on the west side of the Green River, approximately two miles south of Fontenelle Reservoir, off Highway 372.

Note:

  • Non-fee area
  • Open year-round
  • Popular spot for fall hunters
  • Fishing access to the Green River by drift boat


Pine Creek Camp Area

Activities: Hunting, camping, wildlife viewing, riding OHVs (on gravel roads), snowmobiling.

Facilities: Ten campsites with fire rings and picnic tables, one vault restroom.

Directions: Travel five miles east of Cokeville, Wyo., on Highway 232.

Note:

  • Close to Pine Creek Ski Area
  • Non-fee area


Tailrace Camp Area

Tailrace Campground near the Green River.

Activities: Camping, fishing.

Facilities: Three picnic tables with barbecue grills, one vault toilet.

Directions: Located .25 miles south of Fontenelle Reservoir on the east side of the Green River. To access camp area, travel east on Highway 372 for one mile, cross the Green River Bridge, then immediately turn north for four miles. Turn west before the dam to the river and go one mile further.
