Hudson-Atlantic City Road Gravel ARRA Project

Need:  Approximately 30 miles of the Hudson-Atlantic City road needs to be re-surfaced. The road is located in Fremont County, near Hudson, Wyo. The road is used frequently by hunters, hikers and other recreationists. The contractor will reshape and gravel the road surface.

Recovery Act Funding:  Pine Bluffs Gravel & Excavating, Inc. was awarded the contract for $1,129,765.00. The work began on Oct. 5, 2009 and will be completed in November 2009.

Benefits:  The road has historically been difficult to maintain due to high levels of clay in the road causing large ruts. Re-graveling the road will enhance public safety especially during wet periods.
