Geologist
A BLM Geologist manages the mineral resources found on public land. The Geologist works with rangeland management specialists, outdoor recreation planners, wildlife biologists, archaeologists, and members of the mining industry to moderate the effects of mining on wildlife and vegetation, archaeological resources, and recreational opportunities.
To be a Geologist:
Bachelor’s Degree in:
• Geology
Required Courses:
• At Least 20 Semester Hours Combined in Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, Geology, or Geography
