Electronics Technician
 
A BLM Electronics Technician works with computers, telephones, radio systems, and other electronic equipment that provide critical support to every BLM program. The Electronics Technician understands the design, capabilities, and limits of electronic equipment and systems. The Electronics Technician consistently evaluates and improves existing electronic systems. And, on a daily basis, the BLM Electronics Technician communicates with a diverse group of employees who depend not only upon the technician’s expertise but also his / her ability to understand the average employee’s technical needs.
 
 
To be an Electronics Technician:
 
Required Courses:
 
• Engineering
• Physical Sciences
• Technology
• Mathematics
• Electronics
 
Education must include a minimum of 2 years of college or technical school.
 
Coursework in Electronics must include a minimum of 6 semester hours.
